When NAFTA was ratified in 1993, working people paid the price as corporations outsourced good-paying jobs to low-wage countries. Now, as the trade deal is being renegotiated, we cannot allow corporations and billionaires to dictate priorities again. OPEIU will award twenty scholarships for children, between the ages of 13 and 16, of OPEIU members or associate members.

The one-week summer camp will be held July 14-19 at the University of Missouri Campus in Columbia, Mo., and will teach children about the labor movement, while providing fun summer activities such as camping, boating and swimming.

Applications are due April 30 and winners will be selected and notified by email by May 31.

OPEIU Local 182 Members Are Asking for FAIR Wages in Nashville—and They Need Our Help

Our sisters and brothers who work at the United Steelworkers' Benefit Fund are asking for our help in their fight for fair wages. Many who work for the Fund are forced to work second jobs because they are not paid what they are worth.

We believe one job should be enough: all working people deserve to be paid a fair wage.

Show solidarity with Local 182 members who are fighting for fairness in Nashville, Tennessee, by signing their petition. In doing so, you make it clear that, as an OPEIU member, you are standing shoulder-to-shoulder with your sisters and brothers in their fight for a fair contract.
