Join Us for OPEIU Movie Night Screening of 9to5: The Making of a Movement

OPEIU is proud to invite you and your family to an exclusive screening of a new PBS-backed labor documentary, 9to5: The Making of a Movement. We are offering two showings on Tuesday, March 23, so members on both coasts can enjoy the film: one at 6 p.m. Eastern/3 p.m. Pacific and one at 8 p.m. Eastern/5 p.m. Pacific. In between showings, we are also hosting a half-hour virtual panel with the Oscar-winning filmmaker, OPEIU members who are featured in the film, and new members of our union family who just won recognition of their union at Augsburg University.

Thanks for Your Help in Protecting Our Pensions

The Senate has passed a bill to provide relief to endangered multiemployer pensions, as part of President Bidens $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package.

In addition to much needed relief to families and small businesses struggling during the pandemic, the bill provides relief for plans in which many OPEIU members participate, including the OPEIU Western States Plan, the Local 153 Plan and a number of others, affecting OPEIU members and retirees throughout the United States. The bill now goes back to the House for a final vote.

OPEIU members have been waiting for this type of legislation. We have been working with the AFL-CIO Retirement Committee for nearly two years to win this reform and secure our members' pensions.

Tell Your Senators to Protect Our Pension Plans
