Join fellow OPEIU members to phone bank for pro-worker candidates in Michigan!

🗓️ This Thursday, Oct. 22

🕔 5pm to 7:30pm ET

📍 Zoom (RSVP for the link)

Election Day is just a few weeks away. We have a critical opportunity to hold congressional leaders accountable for driving costs up, disrupting our healthcare system and failing to stand up to big tech’s anti-worker AI agenda. And we need your help!

Join OPEIU on Thursday, 10/22 at 5pm ET on Zoom to make calls for pro-worker candidates in some of the most important swing districts.

Michigan is one of the most critical battlegrounds this year, with races that could decide the majority of both chambers of Congress. Pro-labor candidates like Abdul El-Sayed and Christina Hines have stood with OPEIU members in the past and now are seeking to take their support for workers to Washington. Unfortunately, wealthy corporate backers are pouring in money to stop that from happening.

That is why it is so important we make sure working people show up and vote. OPEIU is joining with workers across the country to reach out to union members in Michigan in support of pro-labor candidates like El-Sayed, and we hope to see you there.

Election Day is just a few weeks away, which means it is time to make sure you have thought through the logistics of getting your voice heard.

If you are going to vote in person on Election Day, are you going to do it before or after work? If you would like to vote by mail, have you requested your ballot? You can find more information on the details and deadlines by going to the election website for your county or state, or by using the lookup tool from the United States Election Assistance Commission at EAC.gov.

There is a lot at stake this year – from stopping the affordability crisis to protecting the right to organize – so it is important working people show up on Election Day. After all, when we fight, we win!
