Tell Your Representative to Protect Working People

Tell Your Representative to Protect Working People

The AFL-CIO just released its annual report on workplace deaths in the United States. Nearly 50 years after the passage of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, it is clear we have much more work to do to ensure every working person comes home after a day’s work.

Write your representative today and tell them to protect working people by supporting H.R. 1309: the Workplace Violence Prevention for Health Care and Social Service Workers Act of 2019. http://bit.ly/CongressShouldProtectWorkingPeople

No Vote on NAFTA Until It Protects Working People

No Vote on NAFTA Until It Protects Working People
When NAFTA was ratified in 1993, working people paid the price as corporations outsourced good-paying jobs to low-wage countries. Now, as the trade deal is being renegotiated, we cannot allow corporations and billionaires to dictate priorities again. Call your representative NOW at 1-855-856-7545 and tell them to protect the interests of working people by demanding protection from outsourcing, solid enforcement mechanisms,  and benefits for working families – not just billionaires – on both sides of the border.
