This Labor Day, we celebrate the perseverance of workers who continue to stand up to their employers, demand fair compensation and show solidarity during one of the worst years for workers' rights in modern history.

American workers joined unions, including OPEIU, in growing numbers over the last year despite new anti-union legislation and an emboldened elite happy to trample on our right to organize.

Working people have been resilient, demonstrating this is a movement defined by something more profound than the desire to improve our working conditions. We are held together by the fundamental principles that everyone deserves to live a dignified life, have a voice on the job and know their labor will be rewarded fairly.

Working families are struggling with a cost-of-living crisis pushing healthcare, housing and education even further out of reach. But they realize the only way to achieve these things is to join together in solidarity! 

Worker power is stronger than any policy or politician attempting to delay our progress. Nothing can stop the momentum of organized workers fighting for the common good.
